Bethany Mollenkof is a photojournalist turned director and photographer.
Based in Los Angeles, she is known for creating intimate narratives around gender, identity, and representation. Her creative process is vibrant and deeply empathetic, resulting in a distinctive blend of naturalism and dynamism. She was honored with a Nieman Fellowship at Harvard and was named one of the top 30 photographers of 2022, which led to her work being featured in Apple’s Super Bowl commercial that year.
She has shot extensively for The New York Times and National Geographic, and won a Pulitzer Prize for her work with the Los Angeles Times. Her directing credits include Airbnb, Mercedes, Apple, Amex, UPS, Advil, and Nike. She has been recognized at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity and Tribeca, and won Gold at the Effie Awards.
